The media is in full blown alert mode about President Trump sharing classified information with Russia. They claim it damaged vital intelligence gathering operations. Democrats are in full blown alert mode about President Trump firing FBI Director James Comey, they are convinced that the firing is an effort to prevent an investigation into Trump Russia collusion. They are concentrating their efforts on calling for an Independent Special Prosecutor to investigate President Trump for Watergate-like criminal activity. Meanwhile Republicans are quietly working while no one is watching to annihilate Obamacare.

Democrats finally must face the facts DONALD TRUMP IS PRESIDENT ! They are chasing shadows to think that by some miracle finding Russian election interference will change the outcome. They are panning fool’s gold if they think a Republican controlled House and Senate will ever allow impeachment to occur.

While Democrats are wasting time going down dead end rabbit holes of Special Prosecutors and impeachment according to NPR Republicans are taking advantage : The Senate is negotiating its own legislation to repeal and replace much of the Affordable Care Act in secret talks with senators hand-picked by party leaders and with no plans for committee hearings to publicly vet the bill.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is flanked by Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., (left) and Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn of Texas (right).  They are three of the 13 senators in the health care working group

“I am encouraged by what we are seeing in the Senate. We’re seeing senators leading,” said Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, one of the 13 Republicans involved in the private talks. “We’re seeing senators working together in good faith. We’re not seeing senators throwing rocks at each other, either in private or in the press.”

While the fallout over President Trump’s decision to fire FBI Director James Comey consumes the news cycle, it has not had an impact on Republicans’ health care talks. A GOP aide for a senator involved in the talks said it has even given the Senate some breathing room to negotiate with so much attention focused elsewhere.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell formed the negotiating team to take the lead on crafting health care legislation that can ultimately win the support of at least 50 of the chamber’s 52 Republicans. No Democrats are expected to support any potential GOP health care bill. The legislation is moving under special budget rules known as reconciliation, which means it is not subject to usual filibuster rules and cannot be blocked by the minority party.

This is what Democrats need to be concerned about, not helping media ratings by focusing on things they can’t control and at the end of the day don’t directly impact average Americans. Let the media and the Senate/House Intelligence Committees worry about Russian interference and hacking. Who cares why Trump fired FBI Director Comey it was his right to do so for any reason he chose, the FBI investigation he headed was not fired and it continues.

Democrats need to focus on the things that are impacting everyday life not on the gotcha game.
