Trumpocracy, white supremacy, and white replacement theory are all realities and symptoms in America, but they are not what truly ails America. What truly ails America is a human frailty that has existed since Adam and Eve first lived in the Garden of Eden, and this human frailty requires an ultimate solution to preserve American democracy as we know it today.
Anyone pondering last year’s massacre of 10 American Blacks in Buffalo, New York, could assume based on the murder’s internet postings, the heinous act was the result of white supremacy or white replacement theory thinking. Unfortunately, it’s more complicated than just racism, the ultimate reason for the massacre of American Blacks in Buffalo, New York is the same ultimate reason for the slaughter of American Latino schoolchildren in Uvalde, Texas.
10% of American Whites believe that there is an organized effort known as “The Great Replacement Theory”, informally referred to by American Whites as white replacement theory, to replace American Whites as the dominant population of the United States. Because many of the 10% believe people of color, specifically American Blacks, are sub-human inferior beings incapable of administering American society, the future inevitable loss of American White majority population status justifies, to the 10%, converting American democracy to American trumpocracy by eliminating one-person-one-vote-counted in the United States.
30% of American Whites believe the future inevitable racial demographic change in America is either a good or neutral fact of life thing. They don’t anticipate any racial or philosophical negative effects on American society, and they are frontline supporters or activists against any political, religious, or racist attempts to eliminate one-person-one-vote-counted democracy in the United States.
60% of American Whites, according to research by The Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI), think racial, ethnic, and religious diversity makes America a stronger country. They are strong believers in a one-person-one-vote-counted democracy, who, unfortunately, believe sitting on the sideline during this time of challenge to American democracy and the flirtation with converting it to American autocracy, is sufficient for now. The 60% feel they can afford to sit on the sideline because the current attack on democracy favors them racially. They have fooled themselves into believing that if things get out of control racially or with the 10% flirting with trumpocracy, they are still in ultimate control. Deep down the 60% know there was no vote fraud, but the 2020 election results genuinely surprised the 60% and left them vulnerable to a “maybe there was fraud” possibility.
Because although the 60% don’t believe in the white replacement theory, they know that in 2020 American Whites doubled down and more American Whites voted for Donald Trump than did in 2016, and yet with Trump’s increased white vote Joe Biden’s margin of victory over Trump was more than 6 million votes, which doubled Hillary Clinton’s 3 million popular vote victory over Trump in 2016. American Whites are also aware that in a post-George Floyd racial America, 63% of American Asians now identify as a person of color and 76% perceive their status as closer to people of color than to American Whites. Both Biden’s huge popular vote count victory over Trump even though Trump greatly increased his American white vote count, and the new realization that American Asians now consider themselves to be people of color, provides definitive proof to the 60% that the impact of the American white racial vote is shrinking and the impact of the American people of color racial vote is growing, therefore it will inevitably affect who and what controls future political power in America.
People of color affecting political power in America as a stand-alone fact is not a concern to the 60%, after all the majority of the 60% voted for Barack Hussein Obama, an American Black with an African Islamic-sounding name, both times in 2008 and 2012. Otherwise, with all due respect to the historic vote turn-out of American Blacks to elect the first black president, Barack Obama would still be an American black Senator from the great state of Illinois.
But since the established standard in America is that race is the factor that can affect one’s destiny, the fact that in the near future American Whites will not be the majority race, and current questions about reparations for past racial discrimination are being legitimately raised, that most likely will not be legitimately resolved before people of color become the new majority in America, has the 60% suffering from serious fear for some to a minor unease or discomfort for others, from not knowing what a new people of color majority in America means for them personally.
The fear or unease of the 60% about the unknown, is both the ultimate enabler of trumpocracy, white supremacy, and white replacement theory in America, as well as the ultimate solution to eliminating trumpocracy, white supremacy, and white replacement theory in America. The American Whites who were at the 2017 Charlottesville, Virginia white nationalist demonstration shouting “Jews will not replace us”, the American Whites who participated in the January 6th insurrection to overthrow American democracy, the American white elected officials who use their authority to eliminate one-person-one-vote-counted democracy to create racial and political oppressive trumpocracy, and the American white male who massacred 10 American Blacks in Buffalo, New York because of his admitted belief in the white replacement theory, represent only 10% of American Whites.
Their population numbers, when compared with the remaining 90% of American Whites and the remaining American people of color, are too small to mandate or enforce their racist and autocratic beliefs without the say-nothing-do-nothing but vote to politically support acquiescence of the 60%. The acquiescence of the 60% enables the racist and autocratic 10% freedom to profess racism or to engage in democracy-killing tactics, such as creating laws that empower partisan politicians to disqualify legally cast votes based on race or political affiliation. The 60% silently acquiesce by consistently voting for trumpocratic Republican politicians.
The 60% don’t vote for trumpocratic Republicans because they believe in their autocratic policies, they vote for them because they consider themselves to be erring on the side of caution. Caution they feel is appropriate because trumpocratic Republicans who espouse white supremacy, white replacement, non-existent vote fraud, or eliminating one-person-one-vote-counted democracy cite the preservation of the white race or American white culture as their justification. So the 60% figure it’s safer to overlook the racism and autocracy of the 10% since it’s only directed at Democrats and people of color. And vote for political control to politicians who are racially biased towards the white race, while not risking voting for Democrats or people of color who might seek revenge or onerous reparations against the white race for past racial discrimination.
Even those of the 60% who don’t fear racial revenge still fear being disadvantaged in a new racial majority America. Yale psychologist Jennifer Richeson and Maureen Craig, a graduate student working under her (now a psychology professor at NYU), conducted an experiment that explains this. First, they had a group of American White participants read a summary from the U.S. Census Bureau projecting that American Whites would soon become a minority population. After reading this the group showed a greater preference for their racial group, responding positively to statements like “I would rather work alongside people of my same ethnic origin”, and they felt less warm feelings toward other races.
According to Craig, the results suggest that “a sense of a zero-sum competition between groups is activated,” when people hear about the rise of one group, they automatically fear it will mean a decline in their own. Richeson and Craig found that exposure to the census report caused American Whites to be more politically conservative on a variety of policies like affirmative action, immigration, defense spending, and health care reform. These shifts were not just limited to American Whites who believe in white supremacy, Richeson says “The point is that people who think of themselves as not prejudiced and liberal demonstrate these threat effects.”
Richeson and Craig also ran a version of the experiment where American Whites were told that even though the minority-majority switch was coming, the social order would continue to be the same and American Whites would still come out on top in American society. In that version, the vast majority of the negative results disappeared. “And that’s how you know its status threat” fueling the negative results, Richeson says. It’s also an indication that it would be wrong to accuse the 60% of being racist, like the racist 10% of American Whites, who claim America is on the road to hell because sub-human colored people are about to become the new majority in America. The same results were found in a study led by psychologist H. Robert Outten who reported nearly identical findings in both Americans and Canadians.
The other non-racist reason many of the 60% fear being disadvantaged in a new racial majority America, is because they realize that for the entire 247-year history of the United States, the system of America has been designed so that the color of one’s skin determines who is a true American and who is a 2nd class American or fake American, now some of the 60% wonder once American Whites lose majority status, will American Whites then become the not true Americans who are 2nd class, want-to-be American citizens?
The 60% do not silently support racist activists and vote for trumpocratic Republican politicians because racism and autocracy live in their hearts and minds, their support and votes for trumpocratic Republicans are motivated by a self-perceived threat and therefore a need to protect themselves. This means there is definite hope that American democracy can survive the current attempt to convert it to racial and political autocracy.
Attempting to convert democracy to autocracy is not new in the United States. For 188 years in the United States, many attempts were made to convert American democracy to American autocracy, in one form or another until America finally took the Affirmative Action steps of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and 1965 Voting Rights Act which shut down all the autocracy attempts. Those 1964 and 1965 Affirmative Action steps fortified American democracy for the rest of the 20th century and up until now in the 21st century. Ironically in the 20th century, the Republican Party was a savior of American democracy and its strongest protector, now in the 21st century, the Republican Party is a killer of American democracy and its strongest attacker.
In the 20th century, it took Affirmative Action for American Blacks to save American democracy, in the 21st century it will take the ultimate solution of Affirmative Action for American Whites to save American democracy!
According to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, Affirmative Action is “any measure beyond simple termination of a discriminatory practice that permits the consideration of race, national origin, sex or disability along with other criteria and which is adapted to provide opportunities to a class of qualified individuals, who have either historically or actually been denied those opportunities and or to prevent the reoccurrence of discrimination in the future” In other words designing programs or initiatives that directly benefits an exclusive group of individuals based on either their race, gender, or ethnicity.
The concept of Affirmative Action was first introduced to America and the world in 1961 when then-President John F. Kennedy signed Executive Order 10925. It mandated that projects financed with federal funds “take affirmative action” to ensure that hiring and employment practices are free of racial bias. The United Nations followed the lead of the United States in December 1965, when it adopted the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination. Article 2.2 states that affirmative action programs may be required of countries that ratified the Convention to rectify systematic discrimination within their countries.
After America introduced the Affirmative Action concept 20 other countries, including Brazil, China, Germany, and South Africa among them have implemented their own unique Affirmative Action programs to address inequality within their countries. All the countries that have implemented Affirmative Action programs have done so with the same intent as America, avoiding civil unrest within their societies, and with the recognition that Affirmative Action not only benefits the targeted population but a benefit to the whole society. Now 61 years after John Kennedy introduced to America and the world the concept of applying Affirmative Action to a society’s minority population, it’s time for America to lead itself and the world to a new frontier again by applying the Affirmative Action concept, for the first time, to a society’s majority population.
Specially tailored Affirmative Action for American Whites would have nothing to do with any rollback or diminution of current or past Affirmative Action programs for American Blacks. Because the reason why American Blacks needed Affirmative Action in the 20th century is different than why American Whites now need Affirmative Action in the 21st century.
In the 20th century, American Blacks were both legally and spiritually denied access to the American Dream so American Blacks never felt it included them. Now in the 21st century, non-racist American Whites are wondering if their traditional inclusion in and traditional access to the American Dream will be legally and spiritually taken from them, to compensate for racial sins of the past they personally did not commit. And since 57% of American Whites think that America is in danger of losing its culture and identity, they also fear the definition of the American Dream that they now know could change in the future with a new population majority.
It’s not racism its logical for American Whites to question or have apprehension about how American society’s rituals, practices, symbols, cultural values, and laws would be impacted by a new population majority in a one-person-one-vote-counted majority rule nation, and whose tradition for most of its 247-year existence is the racial majority legally oppressing the racial minority. Just as there are different reasons why American Blacks felt alienated from American society in the 20th century versus why non-racist American Whites are feeling alienated in the 21st century, Affirmative Action for American Whites will have similar characteristics but must be tailored differently than Affirmative Action for American Blacks.
The following 5 initiatives are not what Affirmative Action for American Whites would be limited to, but are examples of what positive changes in American society Affirmative Action for American Whites would make:
Change How Americans ID Themselves-Every day Americans consciously and unconsciously engage in a practice that constantly erects barriers of separation between American citizens. The barriers of separation are erected by how Americans refer to themselves e.g. Italian American, British American, Polish American, African American or Black American, White American, etc. Putting emphasis consciously and unconsciously on what divides or distinguishes us culturally or racially from one another first as opposed to American White, American Italian, American British, American Polish, personally, I’ve always preferred Black American as opposed to African American so for me it’s American Black and for most others, it would be American African. Putting emphasis consciously and unconsciously first on the cultural and philosophical commonality that unites all Americans, American citizenship.
Majority Economic Set-Aside-Any business or corporation, located or relocates to and makes a commitment to remain for 20 years, in a rural or Appalachian city or county with economic blight and a majority population that’s above 65% American White, will be the preferred bidder or vendor for federal contracts, and procurement of services. If the contract or procurement requirements are too large for the preferred bidder or vendor, the corporation or business that meets the requirements will be required to retain a preferred contractor or vendor, if one exists, as a minimum 30% joint venture partner.
Designate An Official American Language-There are currently 2 indicators of American citizenship. One is an intangible indicator and the other is a tangible indicator. The intangible is the belief in and commitment to principles of democracy, and the tangible is white racial skin color. White racial skin color has been a logical tangible indicator because until 2020 American Whites were over 60% of the population, by 2030 American Whites are projected to be 55%, and by 2045 less than 50% of the American population. Once American Whites lose majority population status white skin color will become obsolete as an indication of American citizenship.
Because no one skin color will be a 51% majority. America will become a true melting pot of different colored people, making any one particular skin color obsolete as a physical indicator of American citizenship. The new tangible American citizenship indicator has to be a trait common to all and easily attainable by all, a common language is that trait. No one can control what race they are born to, everyone can control what language they freely choose to speak. In a multi-cultured multi-colored America, (E Pluribus Unum, out of many one), designating the English language as the official language of America will be the easily accessible common tangible trait that indicates American citizenship and binds all Americans together culturally.
Designating English as the official American language would alleviate another cultural concern of American Whites. The new majority population in America will likely speak a 2nd non-English language, theoretically, the new majority could decide that since America has no official language their 2nd non-English Hispanic language should become the official language of America.
Another example of what triggers some American Whites’ concern about how another country’s history or culture can substitute American history or culture, can be seen in a justifiable well-intentioned history and culture practice established to highlight unacknowledged American history.
The month of February has been designated as Black History Month in America to highlight American black individuals, American black inventions, and American black contributions to American society ignored and not acknowledged by American white society. Because American Hispanics suffered the same disregard for their contributions to American society by American Whites September 15 to October 15 was established as National Hispanic Heritage Month.
But there is a major difference in the celebration of Black History Month and National Hispanic Heritage Month which triggers American Whites’ concern about American cultural replacement. Everything celebrated during Black History Month occurred in America on American soil and everyone celebrated during Black History Month is an American.
The reason why National Hispanic Heritage Month starts on September 15th is that Mexico, the Central American countries of Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Nicaragua along with Chile commemorate their independence from Spain on September 15, September 16, and September 18. This is magnificent, inspirational, and above all else noteworthy Hispanic history, but Mexico’s liberation from Spain is not American Hispanic history it is Mexican Hispanic history, to celebrate Mexico’s freedom as part of American Hispanic history month could be viewed by some American Whites as an attempt to replace American history with another country’s history.
Designating English now as the official American language would give American Whites the emotional and legal assurance to know that although racial demographics in America may change, some cultural norms would remain the same regardless of what race or ethnicity is in the majority.
Resolve Reparations– The determination of if there will be or will not be reparations granted for systemic racism, if so who will be eligible to receive reparations, and what form or how will reparations be granted should be made once and for all time while American Whites are still the majority population. Since American Blacks will be the direct recipients if any reparations are granted, it’s very, very, very important that American Whites know that it was their decision collectively as the white race to grant reparations. And not a decision forced upon American Whites by the American people of color.
Demographic Population Control- The reason why American Whites went from being 88.6% of the American population in 1960 to 60.1% in 2020 and will lose majority status by 2045, is because of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. The 1965 law was a result of the influence of the Civil Rights Movement and former President John Kennedy, who wrote a book titled “A Nation of Immigrants” that criticized the predecessor law to the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, the 1924 National Origins Act, as discriminatory because its immigration formula offered an open door to immigrants from northern and western Europe. While offering an almost closed door to immigrants from Asia, Africa, and immigrants from the same hemisphere where the United States is located.
The Immigration and Nationality Act replaced the National Origins immigration quota system and shifted the preferred status it gave to Europeans to immigrants from the 22 North American countries in the western hemisphere. These are Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Grenada, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago.
The immigration formula of the Immigration and Nationality Act is responsible for creating the new future population majority in America, by intentionally allowing the largest amount of people who immigrate to America to be from countries south of America’s border. An Affirmative Action for American Whites initiative would be to establish a new floating or flexible immigration formula. The new floating formula would change periodically what percentage of immigrants from any country in the world would be allowed to immigrate to America. The new formula could create a scenario where no race or no ethnicity would ever again dominate American society by exceeding a 45% population threshold, initiating a new population demographic that forces all races and all ethnicities to work with each other to accomplish anything of significance in American society.
Even though there are statistics that suggest that American White women benefited the most from the Affirmative Action for American Blacks initiatives of the 20th century, there is a negative perception, among many American Whites, that Affirmative Action for American Blacks in the 20th century was legal reverse-discrimination, nothing more than a special privilege program designed to benefit American Blacks only. Designing and implementing an Affirmative Action program exclusively for American Whites removes that stigma. American Whites would no longer be able to claim that a racial exclusive privilege was created specifically for American Blacks, or that American Whites are victims of reverse discrimination. Because American Whites would become the recipient in the 21st century of the same societal engineering as American minorities have benefitted from in the 20th century.
247 years later the great experiment conceived by America’s founding fathers is approaching the final frontier where true American “melting pot” democracy can be realized and fulfilled. Where Life, Liberty, Justice, and the Pursuit of Happiness for All People will reign supreme in America regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, age, religion, sexual orientation, or political affiliation. There is just one more problem to solve with the ultimate solution, one more sacrifice to be made by the ultimate solution, one more privilege to be extended by the ultimate solution, one more investment to be made by the ultimate solution, and one more act of compassion to be performed by the ultimate solution. Design, create, and implement an Affirmative Action Program specifically to, and exclusively for American Whites!
