America has officially entered a dark era where its citizens are likely to be killed at an elementary or high school, a church, a bank, a college, a dance hall, a grocery store, and even a sweet 16 birthday party. But lo and behold, 3 safe spaces remain in America where citizens are guaranteed they will not be shot dead from gun violence!!!
In a little less than 3 months America will reach a new life-threatening milestone. On July 1 of this year, Florida will become the 26th state to facilitate increased gun violence by allowing its citizens to carry a concealed gun in public without a state permit or registration, making America for the first time in American history a majority constitutional carry nation. Florida is a prime example of how illogical gun laws have become in the United States, after July 1 it will be legal in Florida to carry a concealed weapon on your body that no one can see without a state permit, but after July 1 it will remain illegal in Florida to carry a weapon on your body that everyone can see.
State laws that allowed permit-less open carry and permit-less concealed carry of weapons used to be referred to as “Vermont carry”. Because until 2011 Vermont was the only state in America that allowed permit-less open and concealed gun carry. After the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 in 2008 that the American Constitution guarantees every American citizen a personal right to own a gun, in 2011 Wyoming became the second state to enact permit-less carry. Among the 24 states that followed Wyoming by enacting their own permit-less carry, the 2022 permit-less law passed in Indiana made national headlines. Because just two weeks after it became law gun violence reaped havoc when a deadly mass shooting occurred at a mall in an Indianapolis suburb, where a gunman killed three and wounded two more before being shot dead by a bystander who also carried a gun.
Currently, in the United States, there are 8 states requiring permits for open and concealed carry. Another 3 states, plus Washington D.C., require permits for concealed carry and prohibit the open carry of most guns. 13 states allow the open carry of guns without a permit while requiring one for concealed carry, no states do it the other way around. In 2010 when there was only 1 state in America, Vermont, that allowed permit-less carry of both visible and concealed weapons, there was a gun violence total of 6 mass shootings in America that killed 32 people and injured 13. In 2023 after 26 states passed laws that allow their citizens to purchase guns, carry guns in public view, and carry guns concealed from public view without state gun permits or state gun registration, the gun violence of mass shootings has escalated by over 1000% since 2010. The total for just the first 4 months of 2023 is 168 mass shootings that have killed 229 people and injured 629.
All 26 states that do not require gun permits or registration have one thing in common, their state legislatures are controlled by the Republican Party. All 8 states that require gun permits for both open and concealed carry have one thing in common, their state legislatures are controlled by the Democratic Party. And it was 6 Republican appointed ideologically corrupt Supreme Court Justices that struck down a 108-year-old New York state law, that regulated who can obtain a license to carry a concealed handgun on their body in public. In the same week, the 6 ideologically corrupt Republican Justices issued the decision that a state cannot regulate a citizen’s choice to carry a gun on their body, it issued a decision that a state can regulate that a woman must carry a fetus in her body.
The blame for the current out-of-control gun violence can be attributed to Republican politicians and corrupt Republican Supreme Court Justices. Republican politicians pass laws that enable gun violence based on their conservative ideology and not based on what’s in the best interest of their constituents. The 6 corrupt Supreme Court Justices issue legal decisions that enable gun violence based on their conservative ideology and not based on the rule of American constitutional law, hence the 2 contradictory Supreme Court rulings that a state can’t regulate why a person can choose to carry a concealed gun on their body, but the same corrupt Justices ruled that a state can regulate why a woman can’t choose to not carry a fetus in her body.
Even though the NRA spends millions of dollars each year lobbying for laws that allow people to carry guns everywhere, at their NRA convention last week magnetometers like the ones pictured above from a 2017 NRA annual meeting were set up to insure that attendees to the convention were meeting in a gun-free zone!!!
But the ultimate contradiction that Republican politicians and corrupt Republican Supreme Court Justices commit, is that they endanger daily routine life for all Americans while making routine life safe for themselves ONLY!!! Based on the laws Republican politicians have created and legal judgments by ideologically corrupt Republican Justices, there are only 3 safe spaces left in America where gun violence will not get someone shot dead. The last 3 safe spaces left in America are:
1) State senate and state representative legislative chambers, emphasis on legislative chambers because all 26 states that allow permit-less open and concealed carry allow guns on state property and state capitol grounds, but not in the state capitol building where the legislative chambers they work in are located. If you attempt to enter a legislative chamber carrying a gun, for certain your gun will be confiscated and you likely will be arrested at max or at minimum escorted out of the capitol by the state’s police.
2) The U.S. Supreme Court building. 6 ideologically corrupt Supreme Court Justices have ruled that the American Constitution guarantees every American citizen the right to carry guns anyhow and anywhere, EXCEPT in the U.S. Supreme Court building where they work, if you attempt to bring a gun into their no-guns-allowed Supreme Court building you will be arrested.
3) An NRA convention. The NRA spends millions of dollars every year lobbying the U.S. House, the U.S. Senate, state legislatures, county commissions, and city councils to create laws that designate schools, colleges, churches, bars, restaurants, grocery stores, hospitals, and private businesses as legal zones to carry guns. But in order to see and hear the numerous Republican politicians who spoke at the NRA convention last week, you could not get past the security magnetometers posted at the entrance if you were carrying a gun.
The Republican Party plan to combat racial demographic change in America is to make it easier for Republicans to get guns and make it harder for Democrats and people of color to vote for gun control laws
In other words Republican politicians, the 6 corrupt Republican Supreme Court Justices, and the most powerful pro-gun lobbying organization in American history work in unison to pass laws, hand down legal judgments, and spend millions of dollars every year lobbying to create legal gun-carrying zones everywhere EXCEPT where they most likely could be found by gun violence and shot to death!!!
